Big Mac is an older dog who has lived on the streets his whole life. He used to stay near a 7-11 but as he got older, he was finding life a bit more difficult.
We brought him into Happy Doggo Land to see if there was anything we could do for him, but we soon realized his main issue was just old age. Knowing he couldn’t go back on the street, we gave Big Mac a “golden ticket” allowing him to live the rest of his days at Happy Doggo Land. Big Mac has had some serious health setbacks along the way but he’s still with us and still loving life!

The beautiful story of an older dog who found home in his later years
While most street dogs who need medical attention can be back with their packs within the day, some need more serious medical attention.
These are the dogs who come to stay at our sanctuary at Happy Doggo Land. Dogs who have been hit by cars, who have been badly abused, or even need to lose some weight, come to us for care and rehabilitation. Often, they’re able to go back and live their lives normally but sometimes they’re rehomed. In this case, they stay with us until they’re ready to travel.
