Niall Harbison with street dogs

I want to end the global street dog problem for good.

Every penny donated goes directly towards helping the dogs. I donate all of my time for free and I also cover all banking and platform fees to ensure that 100% of your donation helps the dogs directly. You can read about my overall mission of saving 250 million street dogs in my newsletter.

Ways to get involved

We’re growing really quickly and there’s a lot happening behind the scenes, which I can’t wait to share with you soon. For now, the best way to get involved is to subscribe to my newsletter, make a donation, and most importantly spread the word!

Can I volunteer in Thailand?

Unfortunately, not yet. I’m just not set up for this at the minute, but it’s definitely something I want to do in the future! If you're interested in volunteering (either in person or online), please email me at volunteer@happydoggo.com and we'll see if we can make something work!

Can I work with you?

My focus will always be helping the dogs on the ground, but I will be building out a global team to help me take this mission even further over the next year. I'll post open roles here, and if you don't see anything listed you can always email me about volunteering at the address above.

Adoptable dogs

King Whacker

You probably already know the story of Whacker–the dog who was hit over the head with a pickaxe and left for dead. Not only did he survive, he's gone on to become the benevolent leader of our pack.

Whacker gets along well with other dogs, but he is the alpha so would not be a good match with another alpha dog in the home. He's very smart, trainable, loyal, and he loves to cuddle. He's learned how to play tug-of-war, walks well on leash, and loves going on long walks or runs with his humans. He chases squirrels and small animals, so a home with no cats is required.

Peanutbutter

Peanutbutter is a cheeky little dog with a big personality. She's very energetic, quirky, and always up for an adventure.

Peanutbutter is very social and gets along well with all the other dogs. She needs a lot of activity to tire her out, so she needs a home where she'll get plenty of exercise. She's used to running free, so walking on a leash and living indoors are still new to her. She would be well-suited to a home with another dog who can teach her how to live nicely inside. Peanutbutter is very food-motivated and eager to please. She can be timid with new people, but she's learning how to cuddle with her current foster.

DOB:  10/10/2022
Sex: Female
Spayed/Neutered: Will be soon

Moritz

Moritz is definitely the oddball in our pack! He came to us with two broken hips and is almost completely blind, but we think he can see shadows and shapes. His hips have healed nicely, but he still moves and plays a bit awkwardly!

Moritz needs some time to warm up to new people and can be a bit timid and uncertain when first meeting strangers. Once he warms up, he loves to go on walks and he's very good on leash. He loves to play with toys and he gets along well with all the other dogs. He would do well alone or in a home with another calm and well-behaved dog to show him the ropes. Because he is prone to running into things, a home with small children would not be a fit.

Hope: how street dogs taught me the meaning of life

Late last year, I was approached by Harper Collins UK to write a book, and it's coming out this summer. My whole mission is to raise awareness of street dogs around the world, and this just felt right. I can't think of a better way than having people pick up a copy and read about Rodney, King Whacker, McMuffin, and the rest of the gang.

100% of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go directly to the dogs. I've poured my heart and soul into this and it would mean the world to me to have your support.
