Fundraising FAQs

The most commonly asked questions about fundraising for Happy Doggo.

How do I fundraise outside of the US or UK?

As Happy Doggo is only a registered charity in the US and the UK, the easiest option is to use our JustGiving pages above to fundraise for the US or UK charities. You will be able to select the following donation currencies: GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, USD, NZD and set a custom fundraising goal on your page.

The benefit of using our JustGiving pages is that all donations will be automatically donated to Happy Doggo, and your fundraiser will automatically be eligible for inclusion on the leaderboard.

If you would prefer to set up your own fundrasier, you can use GoFundMe to create a custom fundraiser anywhere in the world. As this will not automatically be linked to Happy Doggo, you will need to donate the proceeds of your fundraiser independently. To ensure that you are eligible for inclusion on the leaderboard, please email our team at woof@happydoggo.com when you have completed your fundraiser and made your final donation.

What is included in the trip to Thailand?

The trip to Thailand includes roundtrip economy class airfare for 1 person, 7 nights of accommodation in a 4 star hotel, and daily visits to Happy Doggo Land during your stay.

Winners must be legally allowed to enter Thailand and are responsible for obtaining their own visas, if applicable.

How is the winner selected?

The contest is open globally and the winner is the top fundraiser, by money raised, for all fundraisers closed within a calendar year.

In order to rank on the leaderboard, the fundraising page must be closed and all funds must be donated to Happy Doggo.

If the top fundraiser cannot accept the prize, it will automatically go to the second highest fundraiser (and so on, until a winner is declared).

Our amazing fundraisers

Just a few awesome examples of the types of events our fundraisers have taken on to help the Happy Doggos.

Leo's Birthday Fundraiser

Rather than ask for money for his birthday this year, little Leo asked for donations to Happy Doggo.

His mum set him up a JustGiving page and he sent it to everyone who would normally give him gifts. His friends and family all donated to his fundraiser and he ended up raising almost £1400 for the doggos!

Even though Leo didn’t receive any physical gifts this year, he gave one of the best gifts ever!

Eve's Snowdonia Trek

Little Eve was a street dog rescued by Happy Doggo after she was burned with hot oil. Hundreds of people applied to be Eve’s new parents but she ended up in the perfect home in England with her new family and mum Jade.

To raise money to help even more dogs like Eve, the two of them climbed Snowdonia together in 2024, asking their friends and followers to donate.

Eve and her mum raised an incredible £24,000 for Happy Doggo, money which will go to sterilizing, feeding, and saving hundreds of dogs.

Matt's London Marathon

In May 2025, Matt ran the London Marathon for Happy Doggo.

He didn’t just run the London Marathon though, he ran it in his Happy Doggo branded underwear and raised almost £1800 for the street dogs of Thailand.

Although Matt didn’t have a charity ballot place, he set up a JustGiving page and used his social media to encourage donations. Thanks to Matt, we’ll be able to sterilize 900 street dogs, feed 180 dogs for a month, or provide a month of care at Happy Doggo land for 10 dogs.
