Butterscotch was found wandering around in a local temple covered in thousands of fleas and in terrible pain. We all fell in love with Butterscotch because of her beautiful nature and how sweet she was, even in agony. Even after grooming, Butterscotch was in a lot of discomofort but she soon came out of her shell.
She became a mother figure at Happy Doggo land, looking after all the new arrivals and spreading positivity wherever she went. It didn’t take long for offers of a home to come flooding in and Butterscotch found her perfect family in Skye in Scotland. After a long journey, she’s settled in and is loving island life.

While most street dogs who need medical attention can be back with their packs within the day, some need more serious medical attention.
These are the dogs who come to stay at our sanctuary at Happy Doggo Land. Dogs who have been hit by cars, who have been badly abused, or even need to lose some weight, come to us for care and rehabilitation. Often, they’re able to go back and live their lives normally but sometimes they’re rehomed. In this case, they stay with us until they’re ready to travel.
