Britney: The Dog Who Never Gave Up!

For a long time, we worried if Britney would ever be truly happy. She was a very sad and angry dog when we first met her, we thought she might stay with us at Happy Doggo Land forever. But after three long, tricky years, something amazing happened! Britney, who was once so broken, slowly became the sweet, loving dog she was always meant to be.

‍

Britney when we found her in Thailand, Koh Samui

A Sad Beginning in Thailand

‍

Britney was discovered on a building site in Thailand, Koh Samui, with her puppies. She viciously attacked anyone who tried to come near her, making it clear she’d been abused by humans in the past. She and her puppies weren't doing well but we couldn't get close enough to her to help them…

‍

We eventually managed to catch Britney and her puppies and bring them to the land. The babies were adopted to Bangkok, but Britney wasn’t going anywhere as she would only let Niall near her for the first year.

‍

When we first tried to help her she:

  • Would try to bite anyone who came close.
  • Couldn’t be near other dogs.
  • Always had her teeth out ready to snap.

‍

We don't know exactly what made her so angry but we know it was because humans had been very unkind to her and then left her all alone.

‍

‍

The Amazing Change Of This Street Dog

‍

Helping Britney was a long process and after three whole years something wonderful happened:

‍

  • Britney spent years at the Land learning to trust people
  • She learnt how to socialise with other dogs
  • Britney learnt how to play and enjoy her life

‍

And then, one day we made the best decision to find Britney her forever home. After a few adoption applications and a lot of interviews to find Britney the perfect home (After all, she wasn’t the easiest adoption case!) an incredibly kind man named Sam from Scotland wanted to adopt her! He flew all the way to Thailand to meet Britney, and she fell in love with him right away.

‍

Britney got on an airplane to travel 6,000 miles to her new home in Scotland.

What Britney Taught Us!

‍

Britney is a totally different dog now. Three years is a really, really long time for a dog, and every single day the Happy Doggo team in Thailand helped her get to this happy place. But she did it! She found her forever home.

‍

Britney's amazing story teaches us that even when things are hard, you can still find your way to happiness. Seeing Britney Spears cozy on her couch in Scotland is all the proof we need. Her life wasn't easy, but she finally got the happy ending she truly deserved. She worked really hard for it, and in the end, love won!
